Pacific Life is a well-established financial services company known for providing a broad range of insurance and investment products designed to help customers achieve financial security and peace of mind. With decades of experience in the industry, Pacific Life has built a reputation for strong client relationships, innovative solutions, and a commitment to integrity and customer service. The company operates globally, serving individuals, families, and businesses with a variety of life insurance, annuities, and mutual funds products, supported by a robust financial strength and stability. As a forward-thinking organization, Pacific Life emphasizes technology and innovation to enhance its operations and customer experience, while maintaining a strong focus on risk management and regulatory compliance.
The role of Director, Treasury Systems Support at Pacific Life is a pivotal leadership position within the Global Treasury organization. This role is focused on leading the strategy, implementation, and continuous optimization of treasury technology platforms that empower the company’s treasury functions. The position entails end-to-end ownership of critical treasury systems including Treasury Management Systems (TMS), payment hubs, and bank connectivity solutions. The director will be instrumental in driving resilient treasury operations, providing real-time cash intelligence, and enforcing robust risk and control environments by leveraging modern, scalable technologies.
Responsibilities include defining and maintaining a treasury technology roadmap that is aligned with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements, overseeing daily operations of treasury platforms ensuring their high availability and reliability, and managing disaster recovery and business continuity plans. The role also extends to enabling payment processing across multiple channels such as ACH, wires, RTGS, and emerging payment rails, alongside managing bank connectivity via SWIFT, host-to-host protocols, APIs, and secure file transfers.
The Director will ensure treasury systems produce accurate, timely, and auditable data for cash positioning, liquidity stress testing, and financial reporting, working closely with Treasury and Finance teams to enhance data analytics and automation. Compliance and controls are critical elements, with responsibilities for ensuring systems meet SOX, cybersecurity, access control, and data governance standards, supporting audits, and enforcing segregation of duties.
Managing vendor relationships is another key aspect, acting as the primary liaison for treasury technology providers such as FIS, Kyriba, and SWIFT, supporting contract management, service level agreements, and strategic vendor alignment. Cross-functional collaboration with IT, Accounting, FP&A, Investments, Corporate Finance, and Risk teams is vital to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and support enterprise-wide initiatives.
Leadership and team development are essential to this role, including mentoring treasury systems analysts and establishing governance frameworks, operational best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, treasury and finance knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic vision, offering a highly impactful opportunity within a respected financial services firm.
The base pay range for this position is $138,150 to $168,850, with additional incentive compensation eligibility. Pacific Life also offers a comprehensive benefits package from day one, emphasizing health and well-being, paid time off, parental leave, adoption assistance, and a competitive 401k plan with company contributions. The company fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion, supporting employees to thrive and be their authentic selves.
