The company operates more than 300 venues, including integrated entertainment districts and premier ticketing platforms. AEG is committed to innovation, artistry, community engagement, and sustainability, aiming to create memorable experiences that resonate with artists, athletes, fans, and communities. The organization values diversity and inclusivity and strives to support the communities in which it operates while minimizing environmental impact through sustainable practices.
The Director of Sales at AEG plays a pivotal role in managing sales, special events production, advertisements, and budget maintenance for the company's event venues. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually, without eligibility for bonuses under the current plan. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for networking, researching, and cold calling potential clients to develop new business opportunities. The role involves managing client relationships through CRM systems, creating event proposals and budgets, collecting deposits and contracts, and overseeing all details to ensure successful special event execution.
In this leadership role, you will manage vendor relationships, including catering, bar service, and security, and supervise special event staff to ensure adherence to company policies. The Director of Sales will act as the primary contact for event-related issues, provide guidance during event processes, and maintain strong client follow-ups to secure recurring bookings. You will negotiate deal terms and pricing while preparing contracts and managing invoices and budgets. Additionally, this role includes tracking sales to meet annual goals, compiling forecasts, and developing marketing materials to promote venue availability and events.
The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, self-motivated, and possesses excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. The position demands extensive sales experience, strong organizational and project management abilities, and a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in event planning and execution, along with management skills, is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required, with an advanced degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred. Experience working within music venues is highly desirable.
AEG offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, company-paid basic life insurance, voluntary life insurance, parental leave, 401k plan with employer matching, flexible spending and health savings accounts, and wellness programs. This role embodies a dynamic opportunity to join a leading company in live entertainment and sports with a strong focus on community, innovation, and sustainability while advancing your career in sales and event management.
