Easterseals Southern California is a renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with disabilities for over a century. With a mission deeply rooted in championing inclusion and independence, Easterseals Southern California delivers a wide array of essential services to empower individuals and families across the region. These services include early childhood programs, autism services, employment support, and independent living assistance that serve more than 29,000 people annually. The organization is committed to breaking down barriers through advocacy, education, and innovative programs designed to create opportunities for one in four Americans with disabilities. Easterseals Southern California maintains a strong focus on person-centered care, ensuring that every service is tailored to meet the unique needs of its diverse client base, fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and empowerment.
The role of Director of Revenue Operations at Easterseals Southern California is a vital leadership position focused on maximizing revenue generation for Autism Services. This role offers a starting salary of $116,000 and above annually, reflecting the responsibility and complexity of the position. The Director of Revenue Operations will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive strategies that promote financial growth and sustain long-term stability. This leader develops and maintains a robust operational infrastructure while implementing efficient processes and communication channels to support current clinical services and future business expansions. The position acts as a strategic partner to clinical, operational, and network teams, ensuring the scalability, profitability, and compliance of all services.
Key responsibilities include continuous improvement of operational strategy plans, workflow optimization, and establishing controls that ensure consistent, accurate, and timely reimbursement across autism services. The Director will also monitor revenue integrity, conduct pre-audit oversight, track outcomes, analyze trends, and support reliable forecasting. Managing denial processes and escalating complex issues are critical, as is maintaining a feedback loop to enhance operational practices and staff education. This leadership position requires coordination among multiple departments to promote shared accountability and seamless communication. Experience with payer organizations and contract negotiations will be essential to optimize reimbursement, support funding opportunities, and assess the financial viability of new service development. The Director must provide leadership and mentorship to revenue operations employees, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement aligned with Easterseals Southern California's mission and values.
This role demands a leader well-versed in healthcare finance and revenue cycle management, preferably with professional certifications, and a minimum of 12 years of experience, including at least eight years in progressively responsible healthcare leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional projects within healthcare or behavioral health settings. This includes strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to lead diverse teams. Additionally, the Director must maintain compliance with regulatory standards and possess the flexibility to travel throughout Southern California. The position also includes physical requirements in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and entails occasional lifting, standing, and walking, with desk-based work facilitating most daily activities.
