The role of Facilities and Business Operations Manager at Easterseals Southern California is a leadership position integral to supporting the Autism Services division. This position commands a starting salary of $101,000 plus DOE, underscoring the significant responsibility and expertise required. The manager will lead a team of facilities managers and report writers, ensuring operational excellence through strategic initiatives designed to align business functions with the goals of the Autism Services line. Responsibilities span analyzing organizational policies and structures, streamlining processes, and applying innovative solutions to improve planning and overall operational efficiency.

Beyond leadership duties, this manager will oversee the development of new centers, managing facilities efficiently to optimize sustainability and operational success. This includes involvement in space planning, coordinating equipment procurement, liaising with vendors, and negotiating contracts while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The role is pivotal in managing ongoing center maintenance and ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.

Equally important is the manager’s responsibility for the collection, analysis, and presentation of business data. By transforming complex data into actionable insights, the manager supports informed decision-making and strategic planning. This includes delivering high-quality reports, visualizations, and presentations that cover scorecards, financial metrics, retention, productivity, and timelines for diverse audiences. Furthermore, the role involves oversight of the quarterly Customer Satisfaction Surveys and the production of the Autism Services Newsletter, tracking readership metrics to monitor communication effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Technology, or a related field, along with seven or more years of relevant experience in business operations. Proficiency with data visualization tools and advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications are essential. The manager should demonstrate excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and effective communication abilities, able to work cooperatively with various groups and relate compassionately to children and their families. Confidentiality, discretion, and a high degree of professionalism are paramount due to the sensitive nature of the work involved.

Physical demands require occasional lifting, standing, and walking, with frequent sitting and repetitive activities involving keyboard use and telephone communication. The role requires local travel up to 25 percent of the time and maintaining compliance with transportation safety standards. Job Duties

  • Aligns organizational policies and processes with the goals of Autism Services
  • Identifies and implements innovative solutions to streamline processes and improve planning
  • Oversees the development and establishment of new centers ensuring they meet service line needs
  • Leads the development and operations of new offices and Therapy Centers including space planning, equipment, purchases, and vendor communications
  • Ensures facilities are managed efficiently and sustainably to support operational goals
  • Manages resources effectively to foster sustainability and cost-effectiveness in operations
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors and maintains vendor relationships for new and ongoing offices and Center operations according to budget
  • Oversees ongoing Center maintenance needs
  • Oversees the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of business data
  • Translates data into actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality reports, visualizations, and presentations
  • Compiles and reports on multiple data points including scorecard, financial, retention, productivity, and timelines for multiple audiences both internal and external
  • Oversees the distribution, receipt, analysis and reporting of quarterly Customer Satisfaction Surveys
  • Creates, edits, prepares, and disseminates monthly Autism Services Newsletter with team
  • Tracks, surveys, and reports on readership
  • Regularly evaluates and refines processes and structures for improved efficiency
  • Leads initiatives to implement changes that support business transformation goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned
