Job Description
Memorial Healthcare System is a renowned healthcare organization based in Hallandale Beach, Florida, dedicated to advancing the health, well-being, and overall quality of life of the communities it serves. As a leading provider of medical services, Memorial Healthcare System is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, innovative health solutions, and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and healthcare professionals. The organization champions a service vision known as The Memorial Experience, which drives its mission to positively impact every life entrusted to its care. With an emphasis on compassionate care, cutting-edge technology, and community-oriented services, Memorial Healthcare System stands out as a premier healthcare network in the region, offering diverse medical specialties and a comprehensive range of treatment options.
This role pertains to leadership within multiple physician practices, where the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and directing operations to ensure alignment with both physician division and system-wide objectives. As a key figure in the organization, the position involves providing strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and operational management across a portfolio of physician practice areas. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, delegating, and supervising teams effectively, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Clear communication is essential, as the role requires conveying information accurately to staff, colleagues, and providers.
The position emphasizes business acumen and the ability to support special projects and business analysis. Building strong relationships within the healthcare system is crucial, alongside motivating and empowering direct reports to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Part of the leadership mandate includes developing departmental goals and standards that support the broader strategic vision. An important responsibility is to implement action plans that aim to improve patient experience scores measured by Press Ganey metrics.
Compliance management is also a critical element, ensuring adherence to regulatory bodies, third-party payers, and healthcare accreditation standards. In addition, the leader is expected to have clinical knowledge of the practices within their portfolio, overseeing quality, budgetary control, vendor relations, and contract management. Operational duties include managing equipment and supplies, monitoring usage, and maintaining departmental resources. The successful candidate will operate within a complex, often stressful environment requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision. A minimum of five years of leadership experience is required, and while an associate degree is mandatory, a bachelor's or master's degree is preferred. Employment is contingent upon passing a Level II Criminal History record check and a fingerprint screen through the Florida Department of Children's and Families. The schedule for this position is during daytime hours, and the working conditions require moderate physical activity including bending, stooping, sitting, and keyboard entry. Memorial Healthcare System is proud to be an equal opportunity employer fostering workplace diversity and encouraging candidates from all backgrounds, including veterans and military spouses, to apply. Reasonable accommodation during the application process is available upon request.
