Located in Greenville, TX, the Director of Operations Strategic Transformation at L3Harris Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector plays a pivotal role in steering large-scale operational change across multiple aerospace manufacturing sites. This leadership position requires a visionary and experienced operations leader with a proven track record in aerospace and defense industries. The director will spearhead modernization efforts of planning and execution systems, driving transformative initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and innovation across three manufacturing locations.

In this key role, the Director is responsible for overseeing enterprise manufacturing resource planning (MRP), digital manufacturing transformation, continuous improvement strategies, and manufacturing execution systems. The individual will collaborate closely with senior leaders in operations, production, supply chain, quality, engineering, and business functions to guarantee the predictable delivery of high-quality aerospace products. This position demands a strategic thinker who can challenge legacy methodologies and apply rigorous, data-driven leadership to shape the sector’s operational future.

Responsibilities also include managing Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering teams to develop and implement creative, real-time solutions that address daily production challenges. The Director will architect and lead system overhauls covering SAP, MRP, MES, and PES systems, ensuring seamless integration with technology, supply chain, and quality operations. Central to the role is elevating the sector’s continuous improvement culture beyond traditional lean tools, fostering strategic, cross-functional impact, and nurturing the next generation of lean leaders through mentoring and training.

With the need for expert knowledge in aerospace regulatory requirements including AS9100 and ISO standards, the Director must exhibit exceptional communication and change leadership skills to influence decision-making at all organizational levels. Travel up to 50 percent, both domestic and international, will be required. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is essential.
