We are seeking a Director of Operations to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Operations serves as a pivotal leader responsible for the seamless day-to-day management of hotel operations. This role requires an individual with a strategic mindset who can simultaneously oversee financial performance, improve guest satisfaction, and enhance operational efficiency.

The Director of Operations will lead efforts to optimize all revenue streams across the hotel, crafting and implementing effective marketing and pricing strategies that maximize profitability. This role drives sales by nurturing client relationships and promoting the hotel’s service standards and policies, ensuring guests enjoy an outstanding experience from arrival to departure. Additionally, this position involves preparing and monitoring budgets, reviewing financial statements, and producing detailed reports that inform decision-making at all organizational levels.

Human resources leadership is a critical component of this position, with responsibilities including motivating staff, fostering professional development, and implementing retention initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture. The Director must maintain the property’s assets by overseeing maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with legal and company policies, safeguarding the hotel’s quality and reputation.

Communication is key for this role. The Director of Operations will set clear goals, lead regular team meetings, and maintain open lines of communication with all departments. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or hotel hospitality experience required
  • minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent education

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or hotel hospitality experience
  • minimum 4 years of related experience or equivalent education
  • strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • attention to detail with planning, organization, and computer proficiency
  • mathematical and general accounting knowledge, including budgeting, profit/loss, and variance analysis
  • relevant certifications such as Alcohol Awareness or General Manager certification
  • ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and willingness to be on call as needed
