Job Description
EDITION Hotels is an extraordinary luxury hospitality brand formed through the partnership of visionary boutique hotelier Ian Schrager and the global reach and service excellence of Marriott International. Positioned to offer the perfect blend of polish and personality, design and service, EDITION crafts unique guest experiences characterized by authenticity, charm, and sophistication. The brand appeals to discerning travelers who value originality, exceptional service, and innovative design without the constraints of conventional hospitality.
Located in West Hollywood, California, one of the most vibrant and iconic destinations, the EDITION Hotel's spa serves as a serene sanctuary that complements the brand's ethos of luxury and personalized service. As part of Marriott International, the company is deeply committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment, valuing the distinct backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates. They uphold a non-discrimination policy that ensures equal employment opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics, and they support applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
The position is a full-time management role based at the spa located on West Sunset Boulevard. This role offers an annual compensation range from $102,000 to $135,000, with eligibility for bonuses, reflecting the significant responsibilities and expertise required.
As Spa Manager, you will oversee all aspects of spa operations, programs, services, facilities, and staff. Coordination and supervision extend across multiple service areas, including salon, skin care, fitness and wellness, massage, program coordination, reservations, reception, and locker room services. Acting as a department head, you will collaborate with the management team and hourly employees to execute the daily functions and long-term objectives of the spa. Your leadership will focus on enhancing guest satisfaction while driving peak financial performance.
The role demands a dynamic balance of operational oversight, financial acumen, and human resource management. You'll be entrusted with managing budgets, vendor relationships, and inventory controls, ensuring the spa maintains optimal cleanliness, appearance, and service excellence. You'll helm spa sales and marketing efforts, crafting promotions, coordinating group services and gifting programs, and integrating spa services into the broader property marketing campaigns. This responsibility includes negotiating contracts and seeking innovative product solutions to maintain a competitive market position.
Revenue management is a core duty where you will monitor payroll, controllable expenses such as guest amenities and linen costs, and overall budget adherence. Alongside this, the Spa Manager fosters a culture of exceptional customer service by exemplifying guest hospitality leadership, empowering employees, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve service quality and performance.
You will also lead human resources activities ranging from recruitment, orientation, performance appraisals, to employee development and engagement initiatives. Maintaining open communication channels and promoting a collaborative workspace culture are essential to your leadership approach. You will encourage feedback, recognize achievements publicly, and work proactively to resolve staff concerns, ultimately contributing to a motivated and high-performing team.
This position offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the luxury wellness experience at one of Marriott International's most sophisticated brands. If you are passionate about luxury hospitality, possess strong leadership skills, and seek a rewarding career in a vibrant cultural hub, this role is designed for you. Join EDITION Hotels and contribute to delivering unforgettable guest experiences through world-class spa management.
