Founded over 100 years ago, this family-owned company has built a legacy of excellence, innovation, and commitment to its employees and customers. Known for operating some of the most iconic locations, Delaware North focuses on delivering outstanding service, diverse opportunities for career growth, and a culture that values collaboration, integrity, and inclusion. Their operations span the world, giving team members unique experiences in various aspects of hospitality, from fine dining to retail and gaming. This makes Delaware North a prestigious place to build a career in the vibrant hospitality industry.

At Petco Park in San Diego, California, Delaware North Sportservice oversees concessions, premium dining, and retail operations at the home of Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres. This 42,445-seat venue offers fans not only exciting sporting events but also upscale dining experiences, including a private chef tasting room. The company's commitment to customer satisfaction and innovative service models helps set Petco Park apart as a premier destination for guests seeking high-quality food and hospitality in a sports environment.

The role of Director of Service Excellence is a full-time leadership position within Delaware North Sportservice at Petco Park, with an anticipated salary range of $119,500 to $161,300 per year, complemented by an annual bonus plan or an uncapped sales incentive plan. This role is designed for a dynamic leader focused on facilitating the operational service strategy for premium hospitality offerings managed in partnership with the Patina Group. The Director of Service Excellence will be responsible for supporting both new and established operations, ensuring teams are trained, challenges are addressed, and the highest standards of service and hospitality are achieved.

The Director of Service Excellence champions the integration of the Patina Group’s prestigious hospitality standards across select Delaware North venues, elevating guest experiences and setting a benchmark for premium dining in sports and entertainment. This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders including the Vice President of Premium Hospitality to create and implement strategic brand partnerships that enhance the overall performance and appeal of premium service areas.

In addition to overseeing operational execution, the Director will lead training initiatives, coordinate opening timelines for new units, and evaluate operational performance metrics including quality, guest satisfaction, and compliance with safety and sustainability standards. This leadership role demands a high-energy, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and manages multiple priorities effectively. Flexibility to work nights and weekends, reflective of the event schedule, is also necessary.

Delaware North values leaders who foster a culture of service excellence and embody company values daily. Joining as the Director of Service Excellence means you will be part of a legacy that is shaping the future of hospitality, offering opportunities for professional growth, meaningful impact, and recognition in an inclusive and supportive workplace. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional passionate about premium dining and operational excellence to grow their career within a renowned global company.
