The Director of Sales position at Hyatt Vacation Club Northstar Lodge is a pivotal leadership role focused on shaping and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's objectives. This role offers an annual salary range between $132,825 and $177,100, supplemented by a management compensation plan and bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

As Director of Sales, you will spearhead the sales team by establishing clear sales goals and strategies, ensuring alignment with marketing initiatives, and maximizing the productivity and effectiveness of the sales workforce. You will be responsible for overseeing the sales experience end-to-end, ensuring customer satisfaction and a seamless sales process. Your leadership will be integral in managing sales operations, coaching and developing your sales managers and executives, and maintaining a positive and ethical workplace culture. You will also handle customer concerns proactively, participate in recruitment, and develop compensation plans crafted to incentivize high performance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include sales floor management, staff planning, monitoring sales metrics such as Net Sales and Customer Satisfaction, ensuring compliance with all federal and state sales regulations, and fostering a culture of excellence across the sales center. You will manage the guest experience by addressing questions, complaints, and concerns swiftly and effectively, as well as coordinating with other departments such as marketing and quality assurance to maintain high standards.

This role requires exceptional communication skills and resilience, as you will work closely with the general public and adapt to various cultural contexts. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when necessary will also be part of the position. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience

Job Duties

  • Manage the sales floor to ensure customer tour flow is efficient and conducive to sales presentation discussions and purchase deliberations
  • plan and staff sales force readiness ensuring appropriate number of Sales Executives for marketing tours
  • provide information to and answer customer questions regarding vacation ownership, seasonal travel, and financing options
  • close sales and approve sales documentation
  • monitor deals awaiting final confirmation within allowable time period
  • greet customers and introduce them to front desk or Sales Executives
  • support contract presentations and post-purchase calls to owners
  • supervise daily operations of Sales Gallery Floor and Sales Center
  • conduct and contribute to daily huddles and sales management meetings reviewing performance and planning actions
  • mediate and resolve conflicts among team members
  • encourage positive work environment and open communication
  • monitor sales reports and motivate sales team
  • manage product inventory availability and sales strategies including financing
  • uphold company ethics, brand integrity, and escalate issues when necessary
  • develop and enhance 'Culture of Excellence' in all sales operations
  • interview candidates for sales positions
  • coordinate quarterly business objectives with Director of Marketing
  • respond to customer questions and complaints, proactively mitigate issues, and communicate escalated matters
  • handle cancellation callbacks
  • provide real-time coaching to sales workforce
  • conduct performance reviews and one-on-one coaching for Sales Managers
  • develop training sessions for managers and executives
  • diagnose underperformance and implement incentive programs
  • maintain presence on sales floor as resource
  • participate in recruiting activities
  • interpret customer feedback for coaching
  • ensure compliance with sales and marketing regulations
  • develop scripts for sales presentations
  • perform other duties as assigned.
