The Director of Sales role at ProMach is a senior commercial leadership position focused on driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the food industry. This position entails managing the sale of integrated capital equipment and engineered solutions that improve throughput, food safety, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Vice President Sales – Food, the Director of Sales will support ProMach Integrated Solutions and Zarpac Canada integration divisions, bridging executive strategy with frontline sales execution. The individual in this role will lead complex consultative sales with food manufacturers, develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, and coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and service groups to deliver turnkey integrated solutions.

This role is ideal for sales leaders who thrive in both strategic planning and hands-on execution. The Director of Sales will be responsible for expanding ProMach’s food market customer base across North America by developing market-driven sales strategies and maintaining strong client relationships. They will lead internal and external sales teams, negotiate and finalize customer contracts while advocating ProMach’s value proposition. Driving profitability and customer satisfaction are core objectives, with an emphasis on fostering consultative, long-term partnerships.

The position requires frequent travel within North America to meet with customers in person and achieve sales objectives. The role demands a high degree of emotional intelligence, ownership mindset, and advanced skills in pricing strategy, pipeline management, and business development. Proficiency in AutoCAD for system concept design and a strong understanding of ROI and throughput improvement are also essential. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in food industry capital equipment
  • Proven leadership experience managing sales teams
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales forecasting
  • Willingness to travel extensively across North America
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in B2B capital equipment sales and integration in the food market
  • Proven leadership skills as a sales/business development executive within the food processing, packaging or manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrated track record of building business and customer relationships
  • Emotional intelligence and adaptability
  • Accountability and ownership mindset
  • Pricing strategy and margin management
  • Pipeline management, forecasting and CRM tools

  • Extensive North American travel will be required

Job Duties

  • Drive profitable growth in the food market by partnering with manufacturers to design, justify, and deliver integrated capital equipment solutions that improve throughput, food safety, and operational efficiency
  • Increase North American customer base in the food market
  • Meet with clients, lead sales force both internal and external with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals
  • Develop and implement market-driven strategies to achieve revenue goals and the company’s mission
  • Act as primary point of contact for accounts in the food market with development and execution of business development strategies with identified top targets
  • Act as lead in development and execution of sales strategy and presentation that differentiate PMIS’s value proposition and solutions on key opportunities
  • Negotiate and finalize customer negotiations, working with management and the applications group
  • Foster, promote and facilitate cross-selling of company-wide products, services, capabilities, and systems focusing on growing ProMach’s global business
  • Promote a customer-oriented focus and develop consultative customer relationships
  • Develop and maintain high profile external relationships within customer constituents, trade organizations, etc.
  • Assist with developing sales/marketing operating budgets
  • Contribute to sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly in alignment with management objectives
  • Represent company at tradeshows/association meetings to promote our organization and products
