The Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) role at The Belgrove Resort & Spa is a pivotal executive position responsible for driving the resort’s commercial strategy and maximizing revenue across group, transient, leisure, and catering segments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this leadership role requires a strategic, hands-on professional who can effectively leverage Marriott's systems, global sales channels, and Bonvoy loyalty program while preserving the unique brand identity and positioning of The Belgrove as a premier destination.

This role expects candidates to be dynamic leaders capable of blending strategic planning with active prospecting, relationship building, and brand stewardship. The DOSM will lead a talented sales and marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and service excellence. The position involves cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, including Marriott Global Sales teams, luxury travel advisors, and regional partners, to expand business opportunities and achieve long-term revenue growth. Working closely with revenue management, the DOSM will optimize pricing strategies and channel mix to enhance profitability.

Marketing responsibilities include overseeing digital strategies, social media initiatives, public relations, and local storytelling efforts to reinforce the Autograph Collection brand identity while appealing to the resort’s target markets. The DOSM will also actively participate as an Executive Committee member, contributing to overall resort strategy, guest experience innovation, and corporate culture leadership.

Ideal candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field and bring at least five years of progressive hotel or resort sales experience, including two or more years in a DOSM or leadership role within full-service, lifestyle, or luxury properties. Marriott experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with CI/TY, Marriott’s sales, revenue management, and distribution systems. Proven success in driving group, leisure, and high-end transient revenue within competitive resort or destination markets is essential, as is exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel or resort sales experience
  • At least 2 years in a Director of Sales & Marketing leadership role
  • Proven ability to drive group, leisure, and transient revenue
  • Experience with Marriott sales, revenue management, and distribution systems preferred
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to lead and inspire a sales and marketing team
  • Experience in luxury resort settings preferred
  • Florida market experience preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead all sales and marketing efforts with a strong focus on group, luxury leisure, corporate retreat, and social event demand
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales & Marketing Business Plan aligned with revenue goals, brand positioning, and ownership objectives
  • Drive direct sales efforts utilizing Marriott global sales resources, CI/TY, and Bonvoy channels
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Marriott Global Sales, luxury travel advisors, and key feeder markets
  • Strategically manage key accounts across corporate, association, SMERF, and high-end leisure segments
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation, and channel mix
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales and marketing team
  • Oversee marketing initiatives including digital strategy, social media, partnerships, and public relations
  • Cultivate relationships within the local and regional community including destination organizations and corporate partners
  • Prepare and present forecasts, reporting, and performance analysis to ownership and executive leadership
  • Serve as an active member of the Executive Committee contributing to resort strategy and guest experience innovation
