The Ritz-Carlton, situated at 10295 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, Florida, stands as a beacon of luxury and exceptional hospitality. As a part of Marriott International's expansive portfolio of over 100 award-winning properties worldwide, the Ritz-Carlton is renowned for delivering unparalleled guest experiences rooted in its 'Gold Standards.' These standards serve as the foundation of the hotel's renowned culture, emphasizing graciousness, thoughtful service, and a relentless commitment to excellence. At the Ritz-Carlton, each associate, known as a Lady or Gentleman, embodies these values through practices like the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values, contributing to the brand's global reputation as a leader in luxury hospitality. Joining this esteemed establishment means becoming part of a global team passionate about creating lifelong memories and fostering an environment enriched with diverse talents and cultures. Marriott International is committed to equal opportunity employment, embracing diversity and ensuring access to opportunities for all associates regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected classes under applicable law.
This leadership role is based on a full-time, management-positioned salary range of $134,000 to $154,200 annually, with bonus eligibility, reflecting the significance of the position within the property and the brand. The role centers on leading the sales department for a property characterized by bookings exceeding 300 peak rooms and substantial local catering revenue. As the head of sales, the incumbent guides both reactive and proactive sales strategies to meet and exceed the property's booking goals and revenue targets. This involves providing daily leadership to a team of sales associates, implementing brand service strategies, and focusing on cultivating long-term, value-based customer relationships. The leader's responsibilities include evaluating property participation across various sales channels such as Area Sales, Group Sales within the Sales Office, and electronic lead channels to position and market the property effectively. The role further entails managing the marketing budget to create targeted campaigns, promotions, and collateral that drive revenue and align with property objectives. Coordination with regional marketing communications enhances pull-through for regional and national promotions.
Moreover, the position demands strategic oversight to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the brand's commercial priorities and customer profiles. The leader will harness competitive intelligence, monitor market trends, and innovate marketing ideas to grow market share while collaborating closely with departments like Revenue Management and Event Management. Leadership extends beyond sales execution to encompass talent management, including attracting, developing, and mentoring high-caliber associates while fostering a positive organizational culture. This role plays a critical part in maintaining Marriott's Customer Service Standards and the operational aspects of business bookings, ensuring seamless transitions between sales and operations. The ideal candidate is expected to uphold the Ritz-Carlton's high standards of service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty, balancing financial performance with delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position is integral to sustaining the prestigious brand reputation of the Ritz-Carlton within Marriott International's global portfolio, presenting a unique opportunity for career growth in luxury hospitality sales management.
