Job Description

The Ben, Autograph Collection, located in the vibrant heart of West Palm Beach, Florida, is an esteemed luxury hotel that epitomizes elegance, sophistication, and an enriching guest experience. Nestled overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, The Ben offers a charming blend of modern luxury and a warm, story-driven atmosphere inspired by the legacy of Byrd "Birdie" Dewey's Ben Trovato Estate. The hotel features perfected amenities such as a rooftop saltwater pool, signature dining options including Proper Grit and Spruzzo, and stunning waterfront views that create an inviting and memorable environment for guests. The Ben is part of the prestigious Autograph Collection, a curated portfolio of unique independent hotels known for their bold character and the ability to deliver distinctive experiences for travelers who seek individuality and personalized service.

The Autograph Collection is operated by an independent franchisee, Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company, which independently manages all aspects of employment policies and practices. As an associate at The Ben, you will be employed by the franchisee rather than Marriott International, Inc., embracing the opportunity to contribute to a culture that is confident, refined, and boldly distinctive.

The Sales Management position at The Ben is a full-time management role that offers a competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $180,000 annually and includes an impressive benefits package. This role is pivotal in driving the hotel’s sales strategy to meet and exceed property revenue goals through leadership, strategic prospecting, and superior client relationship management. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a talented sales team, ensuring that productivity and activity goals are achieved, and implementing targeted direct sales and digital marketing programs to maximize business opportunities.

The selected candidate will execute a robust direct sales approach characterized by appointment-based calls, strategic account development plans, and ongoing prospecting activities to build and sustain a strong client base. The role demands a thorough understanding of hospitality sales techniques, yield management, and market trends to optimize revenue, profit, and occupancy targets. By actively maintaining a competitive awareness and leveraging data-driven yield management practices, the Sales Manager will negotiate rates and optimize function space usage to enhance the hotel's financial performance. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, an ability to manage multiple priorities, and a strong commitment to exceptional service delivery.

In addition to managing expenses and fostering interdepartmental collaboration, the Sales Manager will represent The Ben and Sage Hospitality with professionalism and integrity, ensuring a polished appearance and service-driven attitude at all times. The candidate must be comfortable traveling locally to meet clients and attend events, necessitating reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Overall, this role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a thriving luxury hotel brand, contributing to its success through innovative sales strategies, dedication to excellence, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. Joining The Ben means becoming a key player in a brand that values thoughtful details, celebrates individuality, and sets the highest standards for luxury hospitality.
