The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center is a premier hotel located just south of Miami International Airport and conveniently positioned off the Dolphin Expressway. This upscale hotel caters primarily to business and leisure travelers who seek both comfort and convenience near the Blue Lagoon Business District. The hotel boasts 334 well-appointed guestrooms, offering modern amenities such as onsite dining options, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a business center. Guests also enjoy complimentary high-speed internet access and access to extensive retail and convention facilities. The hotel features 24,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 square feet of hotel meeting and function space, and a massive convention center with 152,000 square feet of flexible meeting, event, and exhibit space, making it a favored location for conferences, conventions, and large events in the Miami area.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center is currently seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join its dedicated team. This full-time, on-site role offers an exempt annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $135,000 and reports directly to the General Manager and Vice President of Sales & Revenue. The position plays a crucial role in leading and managing all aspects of the hotel’s sales and marketing operations, including direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, and public relations, all aligned with the high standards set by Hilton Worldwide. This leadership role entails strategic planning and coordination aimed at maximizing hotel revenue by procuring new and repeat business, fostering strong relationships with airlines, travel agencies, commercial clients, private clubs, and professional associations across local, domestic, and international markets.
The Director of Sales & Marketing will produce annual revenue plans in collaboration with executive members, oversee sales and marketing budget forecasts, and implement comprehensive action plans to ensure that revenue goals are met or exceeded. Analyzing current and emerging market trends and initiating special programs to boost productivity and occupancy rates, especially during off-peak periods, are also key functions of this position. The candidate ensures the hotel is an active community member through association participation and promotes inter-regional sales collaboration across other DoubleTree by Hilton properties. Additionally, the role involves planning and undertaking sales trips, attending trade functions to bolster sales efforts, and managing a team of sales managers by directing their strategies and goals to align with the hotel’s revenue objectives.
