The Sales Director role at Dalwadi Hospitality Management is a pivotal management position designed to drive revenue growth and strengthen the hotel’s presence in the competitive Houston market. The position involves leading all sales activities with the objective of increasing occupancy rates and booking substantial corporate and group business. The Sales Director will cultivate strong relationships within the local community, engaging with prospective clients and maintaining ties with existing accounts. This leadership role requires close collaboration with the General Manager and the Hotel Operations team to meet and exceed revenue goals while maintaining Marriott brand standards.

Key responsibilities involve developing a strategic sales plan that aligns with the hotel's business objectives to consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. The Sales Director will actively prospect and secure new clients across various market segments including corporate, government, group, and leisure sectors. Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential to succeed in this role, as the Sales Director will frequently conduct outside sales calls, attend networking events, and participate in community outreach programs. Utilizing industry knowledge, the Sales Director will monitor market trends and competitor activities to uncover new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

Operational duties include negotiating contracts, coordinating room blocks and special event details with hotel departments, and maintaining accurate sales records using Marriott sales platforms. Regular reporting to hotel leadership will include preparing forecasts, weekly sales reports, and action plans that help drive informed business decisions. Representing the hotel at trade shows, chamber events, and tourism meetings will be another vital component of this role, contributing to the hotel’s market visibility and reputation.

The position demands a proactive, highly organized individual with at least two years of hotel sales experience, preferably within the Marriott brand. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary to facilitate outside sales activities. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 annually, complemented by a quarterly performance bonus and a cell phone allowance if applicable. Job Duties

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals

  • maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and production reports in Marriott sales systems
  • represent the hotel at trade shows, chamber events, tourism meetings, and networking functions
  • prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts, and action plans for leadership
  • ensure exceptional customer service before, during, and after each client stay
  • perform additional duties as assigned by management
