Job Description
The Strider Hotel, a distinguished addition to Hilton's Curio Collection, stands as a beacon of luxury lifestyle hospitality in Boston Landing. This newly established hotel is designed to be one of the premier destinations in the area, combining sophisticated design, exceptional service, and a vibrant local atmosphere to create an unforgettable experience for every guest. Positioned in a thriving neighborhood known for its dynamic business and cultural environment, The Strider Hotel seeks to offer not only premium accommodations but also a personalized approach to hospitality that embodies the spirit of Curio Collection by Hilton. \n\nAs a luxury lifestyle property, The Strider Hotel focuses on delivering unique experiences that combine comfort and style with local flavor. The hotel's affiliation with Hilton ensures a commitment to high standards of quality and guest satisfaction, offering access to Hilton's global network while maintaining an independent, distinctive identity. This blend of global expertise and local connection places The Strider Hotel in an exceptional position to attract discerning travelers and business clientele looking for a refined stay in Boston.\n\nThe Director of Sales role at The Strider Hotel is a pivotal leadership position with a primary focus on driving demand, expanding market presence, and forging enduring relationships that contribute to the hotel’s ongoing success. This role offers a unique opportunity for a visionary sales leader to shape the commercial strategy of a luxury hotel still in its foundational stages. Reporting directly to senior management, the Director of Sales will be responsible for building and leading a high-performance sales team, developing strategic market initiatives, and ensuring alignment with both corporate goals and the individual brand standards of Curio Collection.\n\nThe Director of Sales will play an integral role in managing the hotel's sales operations by selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to ensure adherence to brand standards and the core values upheld by Hilton. Utilizing both internal data and external market intelligence, the director will craft comprehensive sales strategies that incorporate all market segments, including leisure, corporate, group, and events. The ultimate aim is to enhance the guest experience, increase hotel revenue, and establish a strong foothold in the Boston hospitality market.\n\nKey responsibilities include maintaining and cultivating relationships with key accounts to boost customer satisfaction and revenue, negotiating favorable terms and conditions using professional sales techniques, and preparing detailed annual marketing plans with measurable objectives. The role also demands active engagement with the local market through travel for outside sales calls and competitive analysis. In addition, the Director of Sales will embrace sustainability practices aligned with Hilton’s EarthView program and uphold leadership responsibilities that model excellence, foster development, and encourage continuous learning within the team.\n\nThis full-time role offers an attractive compensation range from $140,000 to $150,000 per year, reflecting the importance of the position in establishing The Strider Hotel as a leading venue in the Boston Landing hospitality scene. Candidates pursuing growth can look forward to a career path progressing from Area Director of Sales to Regional Director of Sales, culminating in a Vice President of Sales role. This trajectory underscores The Strider Hotel’s commitment to internal career development and leadership advancement.
