The Best Western Plus Carpinteria, part of the Excel Hotel Group portfolio, is currently seeking a dedicated Sales Manager to join their vibrant team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000 per year, with the potential for a bonus opportunity of up to 25 percent based on performance. The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue through proactive sales efforts, building lasting client relationships, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
In this position, the Sales Manager will work closely with the General Manager and the Regional Director of Sales to ensure the property’s success by analyzing market trends, STR reports, and competitive data. They will collaborate with the operations team to guarantee flawless guest experiences and event execution. The role involves participating in community networking events, sales blitzes, and representing the hotel at various trade shows and local functions. Strong emphasis is placed on maintaining accurate sales data and preparing detailed activity reports to track progress and identify new business opportunities.
This role requires a candidate with excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills who is motivated to meet and exceed sales goals. Experience with Best Western brand tools or similar CRM systems is preferred. The successful candidate must have a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license to actively conduct client visits and site tours. Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred (Best Western brand experience a plus)

Job Duties
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue and market share for the Best Western Plus Carpinteria
- Schedule and conduct sales appointments, client visits, and site tours
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate, group, and leisure clients to generate repeat and new business
- Conduct solicitation calls and participate in sales blitzes and community networking events
- Maintain accurate sales data, track production, and prepare weekly activity recaps for the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales
- Analyze revenue trends, STR reports, and market data to identify opportunities and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure guest needs and event details are executed flawlessly
- Provide support with marketing collateral, proposals, and client correspondence
- Represent the hotel at local events, trade shows, and chamber functions as needed
- Assist with additional sales and administrative duties as assigned
