The role of Director of Sales at The Sanctuary Beach Resort is a strategic leadership position central to the growth and market presence of the property. This position offers an annual compensation ranging from $125,000 to $135,000, reflecting the seniority and expertise required. As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies designed to leverage the resort's unique beachfront location to maximize revenue. Your leadership will extend to recruiting, training, and coaching a sales team, ensuring that all members perform according to high standards and align with the resort's core values. Your sales strategies will incorporate direct sales, innovative marketing campaigns, e-commerce initiatives, and leveraging partnerships within the local community. Your focus areas will include revenue generation, strategic account management, sales negotiation, and marketing presence both locally and regionally. You will use data analytics and market intelligence to inform your planning and decision-making. Additionally, your role supports sustainability practices, maintaining operational integrity while clearly communicating initiatives both internally and externally. Progression opportunities exist from Director of Sales to Area Director of Sales and onto Regional Director of Sales, demonstrating a clear growth path for driven professionals. Job Requirements
- A four-year college degree is preferred
- Previous sales experience in a hotel of comparable size and scope is required
- Operations experience is preferred
- Proven experience in public relations and community marketing is essential
- Expert use of Excel Word Delphi and Access database tools

Job Duties
- Interview select train and coach sales associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established standards and embody core values
- Use internal and external data to develop comprehensive strategic plans incorporating all business segments
- Achieve annual hotel revenue goals and identify customer requirements to craft offers increasing revenue share
- Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Use professional negotiation techniques to secure best possible terms leveraging the unique coastal benefits of the resort
- Prepare and maintain a current annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives and travel locally to promote the resort and review competition
- Follow sustainability guidelines related to the EarthView program and maintain effective oral and written presentations to communicate recommendations
