Job Description
The Faust Hotel is a distinguished establishment known for its luxury accommodations and exceptional guest services. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers an elegant blend of historic charm and modern amenities, appealing to both leisure travelers and business visitors. As a boutique hotel, The Faust prides itself on creating personalized experiences, providing upscale dining options, and hosting sophisticated events in its beautifully designed spaces. With a commitment to excellence, the hotel maintains a strong reputation in the hospitality industry, catering to discerning guests seeking comfort, style, and impeccable service.
The Director of Sales at The Faust Hotel plays a critical role in steering the hotel’s revenue growth and market presence. This leadership position requires an individual who is hands-on in sales efforts and adept at managing a diverse portfolio, including room revenue, group business, event revenue, and food and beverage sales. The Director is pivotal in developing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships to build a profitable and sustainable business mix. Collaborating closely with the General Manager, revenue team, and operations leaders, the Director of Sales influences strategic decisions that enhance occupancy rates, profitability, and the hotel’s competitive standing in the marketplace.
This role demands a proactive approach to business development, including active prospecting, timely response to requests for proposals (RFPs), conducting site tours for potential clients, negotiating contracts, and managing group blocks efficiently. The Director serves as the primary liaison for clients throughout the sales cycle, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service. In addition to direct sales responsibilities, this position is instrumental in contributing to the hotel's budget planning, accurate revenue forecasting, weekly pacing discussions, and crafting sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
Beyond core sales functions, the Director of Sales supports marketing initiatives to elevate the hotel’s visibility and appeal. This involves engaging in social media management, coordinating property programming and photography for marketing materials, enhancing website strategy, and increasing community engagement through networking and building local partnerships. The ideal candidate embodies strong communication and relationship-building skills backed by solid hotel sales experience and business acumen. They should demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with hotel leadership, be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in sales technologies, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and digital marketing platforms.
To excel in this role, a minimum of five years in hotel sales is preferred, highlighting expertise in client development, revenue growth, and clear, effective written communication. The Director of Sales at The Faust Hotel is an influential figure charged with driving business success, cultivating long-term client connections, and reinforcing the hotel’s reputation as a premier hospitality destination.
