Job Description
Four Seasons is a globally recognized luxury hospitality company renowned for its commitment to exceptional service, attention to detail, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. Powered by a diverse team of passionate individuals dedicated to excellence, Four Seasons has established itself as one of the premier names in the hotel and resort industry. The company embodies a culture centered on respect, continuous growth, and genuine care, fostering an environment where team members are motivated to push the boundaries of what luxury hospitality means. With a presence in major cities and exotic locations worldwide, Four Seasons consistently delivers unparalleled quality in accommodations, dining, wellness, and guest relations. This dedication ensures that guests enjoy not just a stay, but lasting impressions that enrich their lives.
At the heart of Four Seasons' latest venture is the Four Seasons Yacht I, a spectacular and innovative addition to the brand's luxury offerings. This 679-foot yacht, with a gross tonnage of 34,000 and 95 expansive suites, represents a groundbreaking fusion of traditional luxury hospitality and the freedom of open seas. The yacht features the largest accommodations in the category, each with panoramic views from floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces, as well as an unmatched 1:1 guest-to-staff ratio. Beyond its impressive scale and design, the yacht delivers numerous industry firsts, combining world-class dining, wellness, and entertainment options into a seamless guest experience.
The Shipboard Director of Rooms position on this extraordinary vessel is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple departments critical to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role encompasses directing guest services, rooms, spa, housekeeping, front office, retail, and related functions to ensure the delivery of exceptional luxury standards unique to the Four Seasons brand. The Director works closely with the yacht's General Manager and the hotel leadership team, collaborating strategically to optimize operational performance, enhance guest experiences, and drive financial success. The role demands a hands-on leader who can manage diverse teams, resolve guest and crew concerns promptly, uphold the highest service standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
Moreover, the Shipboard Director of Rooms is instrumental in coordinating with shoreside sales and marketing to support occupancy goals and business forecasting. The position includes maintaining relationships with retail vendors and concessions and managing budgetary responsibilities such as labor, supplies, and equipment expenditures. This role is not only about operational management but also about manifesting the mission, philosophy, and culture that define the Four Seasons experience at sea. It offers an extraordinary career opportunity for candidates with a strong background in luxury hospitality operations, particularly those familiar with cruise line environments and international teams.
The employment offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including excellent training programs, complimentary employee meals and dry cleaning, and a structured 4-month on/2-month off contract schedule. Four Seasons values diversity and equal opportunity, welcoming applications from minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. This position is ideal for professionals eager to elevate their leadership career in a unique luxury setting that blends the comforts of a five-star hotel with the adventure of cruising across the world's oceans.
