Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience in hotel operations including 3 years in Rooms Division leadership
- Proven leadership skills managing large teams
- Experience with hospitality management systems such as Opera and InforHMS
- Strong understanding of budget management and financial reporting
- Ability to work long hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Capability to sit or stand for extended periods and walk throughout the hotel
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and handle equipment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of guest service delivery and standards
- Familiarity with health and safety compliance and audit processes
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years progressive experience in hotel operations
- At least 3 years in a leadership role within the Rooms Division
- Proven track record managing large teams and operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of hospitality management systems such as Opera and InforHMS
- In-depth understanding of budget management, financial reporting, and revenue optimization
- Experience with strategic planning and guest satisfaction initiatives
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong financial acumen with budget and forecast management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of guest service standards
- Awareness of industry trends and competitive landscapes
Job Duties
- Provide strategic leadership to the Rooms Division including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for all Rooms Division departments
- Collaborate with other hotel department heads to enhance the guest experience and drive profitability
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of department heads and staff
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and set departmental KPIs
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction scores and implement corrective actions
- Handle escalated guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution
- Manage budget and financial performance of the Rooms Division including revenue forecasting and cost control
- Analyze financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Optimize room occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR through pricing and operational efficiencies
- Lead development of strategies to drive room revenue aligned with Sales and Marketing
- Lead and mentor department heads fostering professional development and team morale
- Develop and implement training programs for Rooms Division staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
- Collaborate with Maintenance for room repairs and upgrades
- Oversee scheduling of deep-cleaning
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies
- Collaborate with Revenue Management for inventory and room allocation optimization
- Analyze occupancy data and adjust room allocation and rates
- Ensure compliance with legal, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits of Rooms Division operations
- Implement and maintain safety procedures for guest rooms and hotel facilities
