Job Description

Meow Wolf is a groundbreaking creative company that specializes in immersive and interactive experiences blending art, storytelling, and exploration. Founded with a mission to inspire creativity in people's lives and transform the world through combined imagination, Meow Wolf has become a leader in creating fantastical realms that captivate audiences across multiple exhibitions. The company operates as a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation and is certified as a B Corporation, emphasizing financial, social, and environmental wellbeing in its community engagements. Meow Wolf nurtures a culture rooted in values such as collaborative creativity, provocative playfulness, authentic compassion, audacious courage, and inclusivity, making it a vibrant workplace where diverse talents come together to innovate and evolve.

The role of Director of Programming at Meow Wolf is both dynamic and strategic, focusing on the development and execution of public-facing programs and activations that enrich the visitor experience across all exhibitions. This full-time position, which can be based on-site or remotely in select U.S. cities including Santa Fe, Denver, Las Vegas, Houston, and Dallas, reports directly within the Central Operations team and plays a pivotal role in driving engagement, enhancing repeat visitation, and boosting per capita spending through compelling and consistent programming initiatives.

The Director of Programming is tasked with collaborating across various departments—content curation, operations, marketing, product development, engineering, and data analytics—to craft themed programming that highlights Meow Wolf's unique vibrancy and cultural resonance. This role is integral to realizing the company's vision of reimagining art and storytelling paradigms by spearheading initiatives that increase reach and elevate the guest experience. The position demands strategic budget management, program assessment through KPIs, and cross-functional leadership to ensure that programming aligns with company goals for revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

In addition to managing multiple projects simultaneously and supporting site leadership, the Director of Programming also ensures adherence to established budgets and schedules while fostering an environment where creative collaboration thrives. The role requires moderate travel and flexible hours, occasionally during evenings or weekends, to meet business needs and support program launches or special events. With a salary range of $88,870 to $122,640 depending on location and experience, this role is designed for individuals who are passionate about immersive art experiences and have a proven track record in theme park, museum, or attraction operations. Meow Wolf prides itself on providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance options, retirement plans, paid parental leave, and employee discounts. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and encourages applicants who resonate with its values to apply by July 10, 2026.
