The Director of Premium Food & Beverage Hospitality plays a critical leadership role within the New York City Football Club (NYCFC), a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer. The club is on the brink of a historic milestone with the scheduled opening of its first-ever soccer-specific stadium, a state-of-the-art 25,000-seat venue located at Etihad Park in Queens, New York, expected to launch in the 2027 season. This venue will revolutionize the fan experience, featuring premium hospitality as a central element of its design and offerings. The Director of Premium Food & Beverage Hospitality will oversee and manage all premium food and beverage operations within this venue, ensuring that the highest standards of service, quality, and financial performance are consistently met.
This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 plus bonus potential based on experience, complemented by a generous benefits package. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing operational budgets, monthly profit and loss statements, financial reporting, and achieving planned labor and cost of goods sold targets while maintaining budgetary discipline. They will develop annual operating budgets, conduct quarterly reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational best practices.
This position demands a strategic leader with excellent communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to build strong teams. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring staff, recruiting and training event service personnel, and collaborating with subcontractors to fulfill contract requirements. They will also spearhead innovation by developing new hospitality concepts that resonate with guests and align with industry trends. The role requires flexibility to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and major stadium events. Physical demands of the job include mobility tasks such as reaching, bending, stooping, and pushing or pulling equipment, demonstrating the active nature of the position.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 5-7 years of management experience in the contract foodservice industry with at least 3 years in premium services or the equivalent in a sports and entertainment venue
- Must be available to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience with Appetize and NCR/Quest point-of-sales systems
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays including all games and major stadium events
Job Qualifications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
- Unwavering commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership and management skills
- Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of Legends and management
- Experience with Appetize and NCR/Quest point-of-sales systems is required
- Knowledge of accounting policy and procedures is preferred
- Experience in a union work environment preferred
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform tasks including reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be flexible to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, holidays, games and major stadium events
Job Duties
- Manage all facets of premium food and beverage operations to achieve operational budgets and manage monthly profit and loss statements
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to staff responsible for executing the premium business plan
- Achieve planned costs in labor and cost of goods sold and work within budgeted guidelines
- Develop annual operating budget and conduct quarterly reviews versus plan
- Provide quality service and excellent products while maintaining positive customer and client relations and prudent financial practices
- Oversee monthly inventory for premium services operations
- Establish and maintain proper safety and sanitation procedures and create working relationships with local health officials
- Ensure proper operational condition of all food service equipment and integrate technology for a seamless guest experience
- Work closely with subcontractors to meet operational needs and contract terms
- Develop new concepts that serve guest desires and incorporate industry trends
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and further develop event service staff
- Practice safe work habits and complete company and venue safety and compliance training
- Maintain a pleasant and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management
- Adhere to Legends Global and venue company policies
- Complete other duties assigned by management
- Available to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
