Job Description

Bricktown Brewery is a prominent multi-unit restaurant company based in Oklahoma City, OK, known for delivering a superior hospitality experience with a focus on craft beer, exceptional food, and a vibrant community atmosphere. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Bricktown Brewery has established itself as a beloved staple in the restaurant industry, continuously expanding its footprint and enhancing its operational excellence. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, growth, and genuine care for both employees and guests, making it a unique and thriving workplace. Embracing innovation in talent management and operational efficiency, Bricktown Brewery prioritizes building a resilient and skilled team that can adapt and thrive in dynamic industry conditions. With an annual total compensation range of $70,000 to $100,000 including approximately 20% bonus potential, and a primarily in-office role complemented by field travel, the company offers a competitive and attractive package for professionals in the hospitality sector.

The Director of People & Talent plays a pivotal role within Bricktown Brewery, tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive talent strategy that fuels the company’s growth and operational success. This role is designed as a builder position rather than a typical policy-and-compliance HR function. The primary responsibility is to create an internal talent engine from the ground up, identifying high-potential hourly employees and nurturing them into capable management leaders. Success in this role means developing robust talent pipelines, maintaining a live bench of ready leaders at all organizational levels, and managing a recruitment process that supports new store openings and staffing needs without exhausting current teams.

This hands-on leadership position requires the Director to implement and oversee structured playbooks, scorecards, onboarding standards, and development programs that drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention. They act as a cultural ambassador who facilitates growth paths and retention initiatives that keep top performers motivated and productive. Additionally, the Director serves as a key advisor to company leadership on organizational structure, manager development, employee relations, and scalable HR processes, ensuring that the growth of Bricktown Brewery is sustainable and aligned with strategic objectives.

Ideal candidates will have come up through the restaurant industry, speak the language of operators, and possess a strong coaching instinct coupled with excellent organizational and project management skills. The role requires delivering candid, constructive feedback while maintaining positive relationships across the company. This position is not suitable for those focused solely on corporate HR policy without operational or hourly workforce experience, nor for leaders unwilling to engage in field travel or handle challenging conversations with ownership or operators. Bricktown Brewery’s Director of People & Talent is an influential leader charged with shaping the company's future by building the industry’s best talent ecosystem and reinforcing a high-performance, people-first culture.
