Job Description
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a globally recognized luxury hospitality company that prides itself on delivering exceptional experiences to guests, residents, and partners through unparalleled service and a genuine commitment to excellence. Founded on principles of respect, collaboration, and continuous self-improvement, Four Seasons is powered by its people — a passionate collective of individuals dedicated to not only surpassing guest expectations but also fostering a supportive and inspiring workplace environment. This esteemed hospitality brand operates internationally with a reputation for iconic properties and an unwavering dedication to luxury with heart.
Situated in the vibrant urban core of St. Louis, Four Seasons offers an urban oasis along the Mississippi River. The hotel enjoys a prime location in the heart of downtown’s entertainment district, just steps from the famous Gateway Arch landmark. Guests and team members alike enjoy exceptional amenities including a scenic Sky Terrace with private poolside cabanas, refined dining experiences at Cinder House, and stunning views from floor-to-ceiling windows in guest rooms. This setting provides both an inspiring workplace and a memorable guest experience centered on comfort, style, and impeccable service.
The Director of People & Culture at Four Seasons St. Louis holds a critical leadership role, reporting directly to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the hotel’s Planning Committee. This individual will champion the People & Culture strategy and its execution with a clear goal of positioning the hotel as the Employer of Choice within the region. Focused on cultivating the hotel’s culture in alignment with the Golden Rule — treating others as we wish to be treated — this role advocates for employees, fosters top talent, supports succession planning, and champions corporate initiatives that enhance employee engagement and development.
As a strategic business partner, the Director will actively influence recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, legal compliance, compensation, and benefits programs. Evaluating the effectiveness of various programs and initiatives, this leader ensures optimal balance between cost and employee satisfaction while reinforcing Four Seasons’ world-class culture. The position requires a passion for talent management, a strong business acumen, and the ability to be a catalyst for positive organizational change.
Candidates ideally possess local market knowledge and at least three to five years of experience in a related human resources or hospitality role. While formal education in Human Resources or Hospitality is preferred, extensive relevant experience can be acceptable. Knowledge of labor law and occasional travel to other Four Seasons properties for training are also expected. Four Seasons St. Louis is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diversity and values well-being, mental health, and lifelong learning.
The company offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan with employer matching starting at 30 days of employment. Employees receive time off benefits from day one, access to discounted and complimentary hotel stays worldwide, and tuition reimbursement opportunities. Embracing diversity, equality, and vibrant team culture, Four Seasons invites passionate and dedicated professionals to join their journey of excellence and meaningful connection.
