The position entails managing plant managers and site leadership teams to ensure optimal production efficiency, cost control, and compliance with stringent food safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will lead efforts to satisfy regulatory requirements governed by USDA, FDA, HACCP, FSMA, and GMP practices, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Responsibilities include driving capital projects, process enhancements, safety initiatives, and cross-functional partnerships with quality, supply chain, engineering, and human resources. The role also involves developing and implementing operational strategies and performance metrics, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial results. Building high-performing leadership teams and succession planning are essential components of the role, ensuring long-term business sustainability. This is a full-time position based in Buffalo, New York, requiring regular presence across manufacturing sites, including exposure to production environments such as refrigerated areas. The compensation package is competitive, offering a salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 annually, supplemented by bonus eligibility. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10-15+ years of experience in food manufacturing leadership
  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites
  • Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations and food safety systems
  • Experience with HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, and sanitation programs
  • Proven leadership managing large teams and plant operations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production environments

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
  • 10-15+ years of food manufacturing leadership experience
  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites
