The Director of Operations at Hyatt Regency Long Beach plays a critical leadership role overseeing both the Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions. This full-time position involves training and coaching direct reports, making informed decisions aligned with Hyatt’s purpose, and ensuring all hotel operations comply with brand standards. The Director of Operations is tasked with balancing short- and long-term planning initiatives across both front and back-of-house operations. The role includes responsibility for developing and recommending the hotel budget, establishing operational concepts and objectives, and managing major projects, capital expenditures, and equipment upgrades. This position demands a dynamic leader who can champion colleague engagement, understand and enhance guest experiences, and drive financial performance.

Compensation for this position ranges from $116,900 to $181,200, reflecting the candidate’s experience and education. Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive leadership experience within Food and Beverage and/or Rooms
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage and drive guest experience
  • experience with standards and operating procedures development
  • proven coaching and team management abilities
  • knowledge of hotel operations and budgeting
  • commitment to brand standards and guest satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive Hyatt divisional leadership experience within Food and Beverage and/or Rooms
  • ability to lead and manage the guest experience throughout all hotel operations
  • experience developing standards and operating procedures
  • demonstrated ability to coach and lead others to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
