The Director of Operations role is a high-impact leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing operations across multiple offices. This individual acts as a strategic leader who guides the company's policies, compliance efforts, and technology initiatives. This Director will be the driving force behind process improvements, risk mitigation, and maintaining regulatory compliance while managing a diverse team. The successful candidate will lead the Policy Department, collaborate closely with IT and software vendors, and manage complex operational challenges in escrow, title, and closing processes.

Serving as the bridge between operations, compliance, and technology, this role ensures the smooth delivery of title policies, coordinates audits, supervises escrow software management, and maintains licensing and regulatory adherence. This position demands a deep understanding of Texas Department of Insurance regulations, underwriting requirements, and auditing procedures. Additionally, the Director of Operations facilitates new employee onboarding and training, maintains insurance policies and bonds, and consistently looks for opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

With at least seven years of title industry experience and over five years in leadership within multi-department operations, the ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of title insurance, escrow procedures, and compliance. Proficiency with RamQuest and SoftPro software platforms is crucial, along with the ability to manage multi-office coordination and complex problem-solving scenarios. Job Requirements

  • A college degree
  • at least seven years of title industry experience
  • five plus years leading multi-department title operations
  • strong understanding of Texas Department of Insurance requirements
  • proficiency in RamQuest and SoftPro
  • current Escrow Officer license or ability to obtain one through the Texas Department of Insurance
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with confidence
  • proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement

Job Duties

  • manage notary commissions, renewals, and compliance requirements
  • lead new employee onboarding, system access setup, and operational training
  • maintain company insurance policies and bonds
  • continuously look for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and service delivery
