Job Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
- expertise in operational excellence and lean manufacturing
- experience managing cross-functional teams
- knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards
- ability to develop supervisors and maintain performance standards
- experience with business process design and value stream mapping preferred
- familiarity with precision metalworking processes preferred
- background in custom manufacturing and production planning systems preferred
Job Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience in precision manufacturing custom fabrication or similarly complex production environments
- demonstrated expertise in operational excellence and lean manufacturing as an embedded operating philosophy with measurable results
- experience leading cross-functional manufacturing teams including production planning supply chain quality and EHS
- track record of building and holding operational accountability developing supervisors and front-line leaders maintaining performance standards and operational discipline
- strong working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems in active manufacturing environments
- experience with business process design and value stream mapping in manufacturing or multi-entity services environments
- familiarity with precision metalworking processes including CNC milling and turning fabrication welding and finishing
- background in made-to-order and custom manufacturing environments with diverse product lines and variable demand profiles
- experience with production planning and scheduling systems particularly in high-mix low-volume custom manufacturing contexts
Job Duties
- own the day-to-day manufacturing operation at americase's waxahachie facility ensuring all production departments are staffed resourced and executing against the production schedule
- lead the manufacturing supervision team setting expectations holding performance standards and developing front-line and mid-level operations leadership
- maintain AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management system compliance partnering with the quality control manager to embed process discipline in daily practice
- drive operational excellence development and discipline across the organization by leading continuous improvement initiatives eliminating waste reducing cycle time streamlining value streams and improving throughput and on-time delivery
- own the operational KPIs including on-time delivery quality escape rate internal rejection rate rework rate and efficiency ensuring each metric is visible owned and managed
- serve as the primary resource and enabling function for the sales and executive team ensuring operational capacity materials and labor are planned and in place before customer commitments
- coordinate resources required to execute production plan including workforce planning equipment readiness and material availability
- partner with leadership to provide realistic operational input into deal structure pricing and delivery commitments
- own the production planning function ensuring the master schedule reflects actual capacity plans material requirements in advance and resolves bottlenecks before customer problems
- oversee supply chain and procurement including vendor selection performance management material availability inventory efficiency and logistics coordination
- manage key supplier relationships for specialty materials for HVG and HazMat product lines
- partner with the CFO on capital investment planning providing operational justification and ROI analysis
- own plant EHS in partnership with maintenance and facility manager maintaining a safety culture
- oversee facilities management including equipment maintenance physical security and plant readiness
- apply business process design and value stream mapping expertise across americase international portfolio supporting HSC Fulcrum and ESA operational improvements
- partner with the COO to adapt and apply operational best practices to portfolio companies at earlier operational maturity
- participate in cross-functional discussions on operational infrastructure process design and resource coordination
