The open position is for a full-time Management role in the Meetings and Special Events division. The role is based on-site and is critical in leading the strategic and operational aspects of all event management activities within the property. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of all property events, ensuring smooth communication and operational turnover between sales and operations teams. At an annual salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 and eligibility for bonuses, this role is highly significant within the department for driving profitability, employee satisfaction, and exceptional service delivery.
This position requires a dynamic leader who can develop and implement innovative event management strategies aligned with the overall business goals of the company. The candidate will lead a team that manages the planning, budgeting, execution, and follow-up of meetings, conferences, conventions, and special events hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. They will ensure that event spaces are maintained to luxury standards and oversee inventory and vendor relationships to enhance the event experience and maximize revenue. Equally important is the role’s focus on employee development and accountability, ensuring that the team delivers the brand's promise with consistency and excellence.
Furthermore, this leader is entrusted with managing profitability by supporting the annual Meetings and Special Events Marketing Plan and encouraging creative risk-taking to generate additional revenue opportunities. The role encompasses conducting daily operational reviews, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering ongoing communication to support smooth event operations. By promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence, the successful candidate will contribute to The Ritz-Carlton's reputation as a premier luxury hospitality brand and ensure that every guest's experience is memorable long after their stay.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to comply with all relevant health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, or marketing
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Experience in budget management and revenue generation
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and event planning
Job Duties
- Develop and implement departmental strategies
- Ensure seamless execution of all property events from sales to operations
- Lead and manage the Meetings and Special Events team
- Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
- Manage event budgets and maximize financial performance
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors
