Job Description

TooJay's is a renowned New York-style deli that has been delighting customers since 1981. With 20 locations across Florida, TooJay's is famously known for its piled-high sandwiches, generous portions of homemade comfort foods, and made-from-scratch soups, salads, and baked goods. The company prides itself on a commitment to excellent food quality and an outstanding customer experience. As a highly regarded restaurant chain, TooJay's has earned a loyal customer base and continues to expand its reach, ensuring guests enjoy Simply Great Food and Simply Great Experiences at every visit. The company places a high value on its team members, recognizing them as its most valuable asset. By hiring friendly, motivated individuals, TooJay's fosters a positive work environment that contributes to the smooth and effective operation of each restaurant location.

The role of Director of Marketing at TooJay's is a pivotal leadership position responsible for championing the TooJay's brand and driving growth initiatives across all service segments, including dine-in, to-go, and catering. Working out of the company headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida, this full-time position demands a strong marketing leader who will collaborate closely with the CEO to identify key business growth opportunities and develop strategic marketing plans that enhance brand awareness to new guests, demographics, and loyal customers alike. The Director of Marketing oversees all aspects of advertising, digital and social media campaigns, promotions, loyalty club management, brand standards, and in-store marketing activities that align with the organization's overall growth objectives.

The Director will generate revenue by increasing sales through comprehensive marketing strategies that integrate product development and sales efforts. Utilizing data and analytics, this person will develop programs with measurable goals to track marketing success and make data-driven decisions. Key responsibilities include leading the digital marketing strategy—email marketing, SEO, social media—and managing budgets aligned with corporate goals. The Director will also oversee external partnerships with agencies, vendors, and media providers, ensuring brand consistency across all channels and communications. Leadership and mentorship of the marketing team are essential, encouraging strategic thinking and execution to drive both short- and long-term marketing initiatives.

This role requires someone with strong business acumen, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years of relevant marketing experience within the casual dining and quick-serve restaurant industry, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple units effectively. Excellent communication skills and the capability to guide a diverse team towards achieving brand and sales goals are critical. The position includes occasional travel requirements, with up to 10 percent overnight stays. TooJay's offers a competitive salary range between $120,000 and $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus an annual discretionary bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after the start date, paid time off that accrues from day one, profit sharing subject to eligibility, training and career development opportunities, and a company discount on all food and catering services. This role is a unique chance to lead marketing efforts at a well-established restaurant brand with a strong growth trajectory and a vibrant team culture.
