The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is a flagship venue under the Legends Global banner. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred
  • Four years of related experience in marketing, public relations, or sales in entertainment industry or related field
  • Working knowledge of facility management and/or special events
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and Canva
  • Proficiency in social media platforms with content creation experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong creative skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible event hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred
  • Four years of related experience in marketing, public relations, or sales in the entertainment industry or related field
  • Working knowledge of principles of facility management and/or special events
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and Canva
  • Proficiency in social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X with experience in content creation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong creative background
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work event hours including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays

Job Duties

  • Directs the marketing and public relations image of the facility
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with media, industry influencers, and key community and strategic partners
  • Acts as facility spokesperson and liaison with the public
  • Develops and implements an advertising and publicity campaign to create regional and national awareness of the facility
  • Creates and supervises marketing plans for events including media placement, social media, promotional development, and nonprofit opportunities
  • Operates the department with a commitment to maximum exposure for the facility and its events
  • Develops marketing materials and procedures to function effectively as an in-house agency
  • Maintains and oversees relationships with media representatives, civic and industry organizations, corporate promotional contacts, and event and booking representatives
  • Oversees coordination of promotions and special events with event promoters and facility personnel
  • Keeps current on national trends in the industry and local market changes
  • Maintains high standards, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • Explores new avenues of revenue for the facility
  • Develops and maintains a facility website and email newsletters
