Job Description
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is a renowned hospitality company with a global legacy spanning over 100 years. As a family-owned enterprise, Delaware North prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences in iconic destinations worldwide, including sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and luxury resorts. One of its flagship locations is Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, a prestigious 4-diamond resort situated just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, California. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, including towering granite peaks and lush forests, Tenaya Lodge offers guests a broad range of outdoor activities alongside comfortable and modern accommodations. The resort also features Waybound, a collection of modern cabins and cottages providing more secluded and private lodging options with full access to resort amenities. This spectacular setting creates a unique hospitality experience deeply connected to the great outdoors while maintaining the highest standards of comfort and service.
The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the resort’s housekeeping team to ensure all public spaces, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas are maintained to impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards. The Executive Housekeeper leads hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management activities for the housekeeping team, fostering a productive and motivated work environment that supports operational excellence. This role also includes inventory management duties, ordering and distributing cleaning supplies and equipment as needed, while controlling expenses and payroll within budget guidelines. Facility inspections are routinely conducted to uphold brand standards, with swift corrective actions taken to resolve any issues. The position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive company vehicles across the property when required.
The position offers a competitive annual salary range from $70,304 to $88,400, complemented by an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based uncapped sales incentive plan. Delaware North extends attractive benefits, including relocation assistance and temporary housing support, to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires. The role demands a minimum age of 21, with at least five years of team management experience preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of cleaning tools and chemicals, including the use of Material Safety Data Sheets for handling cleaning solvents. While a formal degree is not required, a valid driver’s license is essential.
Working as an Executive Housekeeper at Tenaya Lodge offers career growth opportunities in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. With a focus not only on guest satisfaction but also on team member development, Delaware North fosters a culture of inclusivity and professional advancement. Employees enjoy diverse benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and exclusive discounts at company properties. Shift schedules may include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry's dynamic nature. Join Delaware North’s team at Tenaya Lodge and contribute to creating memorable experiences in one of California’s most iconic natural destinations where exceptional service meets breathtaking surroundings.
