Tenaya Lodge is a renowned 4-diamond resort beautifully nestled just outside the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. Surrounded by majestic trees and stunning granite peaks, the resort provides guests with an array of outdoor experiences combined with the comforts of modern hospitality. The nearby Waybound collection of contemporary cabins and cottages extends a private, serene retreat-style option, all coupled with access to hotel-level amenities, making it a unique destination that seamlessly blends outdoor adventure with upscale relaxation.
At Delaware North, a family-owned global hospitality leader with a legacy of over 100 years, team members are valued as integral parts of a worldwide network that embraces diversity and career growth. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of California’s most iconic natural destinations, where hospitality meets the great outdoors. The company fosters an environment where employees can grow professionally and personally, emphasizing inclusivity, equal opportunity, and dedication to employee wellbeing.
The Executive Housekeeper for Tenaya Lodge plays a crucial leadership role managing the housekeeping department to ensure the resort provides immaculate, sanitized, and welcoming accommodations for all guests. As the leader of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of housekeepers. You will manage inventory, ordering, and distribution of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring the team is equipped to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the resort property.
This position also requires diligent monitoring and controlling of expenses and payroll to maintain budgetary compliance while securing adequate resources. Regular housekeeping inspections and immediate corrective actions are essential to meet quality standards that enhance the guest experience. Furthermore, the ability to operate company vehicles to oversee property-wide housekeeping efforts will be part of the role.
This Executive Housekeeper position is full-time and comes with a competitive pay range of $70,304 to $88,400 annually, accompanied by an annual bonus plan that rewards performance based on individual, company, and location goals. Delaware North also supports employee growth with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and professional certification and offers relocation assistance and temporary housing to ease transitions.
This role suits motivated individuals with at least five years of team management experience in housekeeping or related fields, strong knowledge of cleaning tools and chemicals, and leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Physical stamina is necessary, as the position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and handling loads. By joining Tenaya Lodge, you will become part of a passionate hospitality team dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences in a breathtaking setting, with ample opportunities to advance your career within a respected global company.
