The role of Director of Housekeeping at Great Wolf is a senior-level position dedicated to overseeing all aspects of housekeeping operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that guest satisfaction and employee engagement are maintained while achieving profitability within the housekeeping function. The Director of Housekeeping will be responsible for managing and directing housekeeping services, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and payroll. This role requires strategic leadership to develop comprehensive department plans that align with organizational goals, allocate resources efficiently, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across all guest rooms and public areas. The position also involves managing the laundry services, supervising housekeeping staff, and collaborating on cross-functional teams to coordinate resort activities.
Moreover, the Director is tasked with monitoring guest feedback to address comments proactively, conducting investigations related to guest service and liability claims, and ensuring timely resolution of customer requests. This leader will implement and monitor staffing schedules, oversee expense management through the room expeditor software, participate in management duties, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental policies. The role requires close attention to quality assurance, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and overall housekeeping operations to deliver outstanding service. In addition to operational responsibilities, this director will play an active role on the resort’s Executive Committee to represent housekeeping interests and contribute to organizational strategy.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 3 years experience supervising or managing large housekeeping department
- minimum 5 years hotel or resort housekeeping experience
- proficiency with Microsoft Office
- ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 15 lbs

Job Duties
- Develop detailed plans supporting organizational objectives
- manage budgeting and fiscal oversight including departmental budgets and financial reports
