We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead and manage our housekeeping department. The Executive Housekeeper will play a pivotal role in overseeing hotel cleanliness and hygiene standards by managing the planning, organization, and execution of housekeeping operations. This is a full-time role focused on ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet our brand's exacting cleanliness benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hospitality cleaning management and the leadership skills necessary to inspire and develop a motivated housekeeping team.

The Executive Housekeeper’s responsibilities include hiring, training, and evaluating housekeeping staff and supervisors to maintain superior service standards. This role requires the ability to effectively plan cleaning schedules and assignments, manage staffing levels, and adjust resources to meet fluctuating hotel occupancy while maintaining budgetary and labor guidelines. The Executive Housekeeper will regularly monitor guest service scores and feedback, actively addressing any cleanliness-related concerns promptly and implementing programs to enhance guest satisfaction in collaboration with the General Manager.

Furthermore, the successful candidate will oversee inventory control, ensuring that linens, cleaning supplies, and in-room amenities are properly stocked, and coordinate closely with the maintenance department to expedite any necessary repairs in guest rooms or public areas. The position demands strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the stamina to perform physical tasks consistent with maintaining hotel cleanliness standards.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day
  • ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with a minimum supervision
  • ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning assigned rooms as per the hotel standards
  • ability to grasp, bend, and stoop
  • push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • One year related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • ability to interpret and perform intermediate computer functions
  • proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Duties

  • Responsible for hiring, training and managing the performance of housekeeping staff and supervisors
  • plan and organize the cleaning of all guests' rooms and public areas
  • provide daily cleaning assignments to room attendants
  • manage staffing fluctuations and identify staffing needs
  • monitor guest service scores via reports and guest comments for cleanliness, address any issues immediately and implement programs that meet or exceed brand benchmarks in conjunction with General Manager
  • ensure that all housekeeping associates have been thoroughly trained and consistently follow service standards and procedures
  • inspect cleanliness of all hotel rooms and public areas
