The role of Rooms Operations Manager is a full-time management position that demands a strategic and proactive leader who can oversee multiple departments within the property’s Rooms Operations. Reporting responsibilities include managing the Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Safety & Security, and Spa departments. This role is integral to ensuring that all operational areas meet the brand’s high standards for service, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

The Rooms Operations Manager acts as the strategic business leader, developing and executing operational strategies aligned with the brand’s service vision and business goals. They work directly with department heads to implement these strategies, monitor guest and employee satisfaction, address service quality trends, and drive overall departmental profitability. This leadership role requires a focus on maximizing revenue while controlling wages and expenses effectively.

Key to success in this role is the ability to lead diverse teams, foster an environment of communication and collaboration, and uphold Marriott’s commitment to fair and equitable treatment of employees. Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead multiple departments
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to guest complaints and feedback

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience in guest services or management operations
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience in guest services or management operations
  • Proven experience leading multiple departments in a hospitality setting
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze trends and make strategic decisions
  • Experience in fostering employee satisfaction and guest service excellence

Job Duties

  • Manage Front Office, Business Center, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Safety & Security, and Spa departments
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with brand service vision
  • Monitor and analyze Rooms operations sales performance against budget
  • Coach and support operations team to manage occupancy, wages, and controllable expenses
  • Lead guest satisfaction initiatives by reviewing feedback and addressing complaints
  • Foster employee engagement through communication, performance management, and feedback solicitation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support human resources activities to promote fair treatment and development
