Job Description
Colwen Management, Inc. is an independent franchisee that owns and operates the Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel. Unlike corporate-run properties, this hotel is managed with an entrepreneurial spirit, allowing for unique and localized approaches to service, operations, and guest experience. Colwen Management, Inc. oversees all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and other employment conditions, which makes it a distinct entity separate from Marriott International, Inc., the franchisor. This local ownership and management allow for a hands-on, personalized leadership style that prioritizes employee engagement, operational excellence, and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Located adjacent to the iconic Gillette Stadium, the Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel is a vibrant, dynamic environment where every day feels like an event. Whether it's a New England Patriots game, a FIFA World Cup event, concerts, or other major entertainment, the hotel’s surroundings provide high-energy moments that influence the pace and excitement of the workplace. This creates an extraordinary setting for hospitality professionals who thrive in a lively atmosphere and enjoy being part of memorable experiences.
The role of Director of Hotel Operations at Renaissance Patriot Place is a highly visible and interactive leadership position. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence across major departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Engineering. This role requires a hands-on leader who is actively involved with teams on the floor, fostering collaboration and solving challenges in real time to ensure each guest enjoys an outstanding stay. The position highlights the importance of cultivating a positive, respectful workplace culture and championing employee recognition as part of an overall strategy to boost team engagement.
As part of Colwen Hotels, the Director of Hotel Operations will receive strong support from a company that values integrity, hard work, and forward-thinking innovation. Colwen boasts a growing portfolio of 40 hotels across 9 states, making it a robust platform for career growth within the hospitality industry. This position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $95,000 annually, which is competitive in the industry and reflects the high level of responsibility associated with the role.
In this role, you will also play a vital part in the financial stewardship of the hotel by assisting with budgeting, financial performance tracking, and profitability initiatives. Collaboration extends across departments including Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Maintenance, ensuring that every part of the hotel operation works in concert to meet brand standards and exceed guest expectations.
Colwen Hotels' leadership ethos emphasizes active involvement and visibility of management throughout the property. The Director of Hotel Operations is expected to conduct daily property walks to maintain cleanliness, product quality, and service excellence, directly engaging with associates and guests. This leadership approach ensures a holistic management style that is both proactive and responsive.
Working here means joining a company committed to ongoing training and development programs, offering extensive career opportunities both at the Renaissance Patriot Place Hotel and within the broader expanding portfolio of Colwen Hotels. Employees benefit from a comprehensive suite of perks that include medical benefits, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, 401(k) with employer match, and exclusive discounts on travel, entertainment, and retail. Additionally, the company promotes a positive work-life balance through generous paid time off and various supplemental insurance options.
This employment opportunity is open to hospitality professionals passionate about delivering outstanding service and who are excited to lead a talented team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The role demands excellent communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. If you want to be part of a collaborative culture dedicated to creating exceptional guest experiences and elevating hospitality standards, the Director of Hotel Operations position at Renaissance Patriot Place offers a fulfilling and rewarding career path.
