Job Description

An acclaimed luxury winery located in the Pacific Northwest, renowned for its exceptional wines and dedication to craftsmanship, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Hospitality. This role is integral to maintaining and elevating the winery's hospitality and culinary programs, ensuring guests receive an unparalleled experience marked by excellence, personalization, and seamless service. The Director of Hospitality will be the visionary and operational leader responsible for overseeing the entire guest experience at the winery. They will lead both the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including the General Manager and Executive Chef, ensuring strong collaboration to deliver cohesive and high-quality service that aligns with the winery’s brand integrity. This executive will manage the hospitality profit and loss statement, including budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and revenue optimization, demonstrating strong financial acumen essential to sustaining operational excellence.

This leadership role requires a person capable of inspiring and coaching senior operators, building scalable service standards, and developing systems and operating procedures that uphold the highest standards of service and hospitality. The Director of Hospitality will also leverage guest insights and CRM data to personalize experiences, especially for VIP guests, fostering loyalty and enhancing the winery's reputation within luxury hospitality, culinary, and fine wine communities. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays, is necessary to meet the demands of the role. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality or related industries
  • strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • experience managing multidisciplinary teams including culinary and service staff
  • proficiency with hospitality technology platforms such as POS and CRM systems
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • ability to represent the brand professionally in the luxury market

Job Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining, wineries, resorts, or similarly high-touch environments
  • proven success leading senior operators and aligning culinary and service teams around a shared vision
  • strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and complex P&Ls
  • demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and retain high-performing teams
  • experience with hospitality technology including reservation systems, POS platforms, CRM tools, and advanced Excel
  • working knowledge of culinary operations, menu costing, and food and wine pairing principles
  • exceptional emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and expertise managing VIP relationships and service recovery
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Lead the strategy and execution of the hospitality experience across all guest touchpoints
  • coach and develop the General Manager and Executive Chef while fostering strong collaboration between service and culinary teams
