Job Description

Amangiri is a prestigious luxury resort located on over 900 acres of the Colorado Plateau, seamlessly nestled amidst striking red-rock formations and untouched desert landscapes. This exquisite destination is renowned for offering an unparalleled blend of modern design and natural beauty, providing guests with tranquil, highly personalized experiences that echo the serenity of the canyons and mesas surrounding it. Alongside Amangiri's 34 modernist suites, Aman Spa, and expansive pool, there is also Camp Sarika, a satellite facility featuring 10 tented pavilions dedicated to adventure and exploration. Camp Sarika offers a distinct experience with its own restaurant, lounge, and spa suites, making it an ideal retreat for guests seeking both adventure and relaxation.

The role of Director of Groups & Events at Amangiri is a crucial leadership position focused on delivering exceptional group experiences and bespoke event services that align with Aman’s ultra-luxury brand standards. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and flawless execution of events throughout the resort property. As the face of the events operation, the Director will build and nurture strong client relationships while steering the team of event professionals toward excellence. The role commands close collaboration with internal departments including Food & Beverage, Spa, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Transportation to ensure every event is executed seamlessly and reflects the resort’s commitment to personalized service and attention to detail.

In this leadership capacity, the Director of Groups & Events will oversee the entire lifecycle of group and event operations—from initial inquiry through post-event reconciliation. This includes preparing detailed event proposals, pricing, and contracts in partnership with sales, F&B, and executive leadership teams, managing vendor relationships, budgets, risk assessments, and ensuring accurate billing and deposit collection. The role also requires the oversight of event logistics such as room blocks, setup needs, entertainment, rentals, and décor, with a constant focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The role demands a proactive leader who can mentor and develop the events team while fostering a culture of professionalism and service excellence. This leader is expected to drive innovation by monitoring market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies accordingly to maintain Amangiri’s position as a premier destination for luxury groups and events. Flexibility to work in an environment with high expectations, including availability during nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.

Joining Amangiri means becoming part of a globally recognized luxury hospitality brand, Aman Group, which prioritizes career growth, inclusivity, and employee wellbeing. The resort offers competitive compensation and a range of benefits designed to support personal and professional development. If you have a passion for warm, personalized hospitality where every detail matters and thrive in an ultra-luxury environment, this is a rare opportunity to lead and grow with one of the world’s most iconic destination resorts.
