Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six years progressively responsible management experience including three years in relevant field
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours during emergencies
  • Effective organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six years progressively responsible management experience
  • Experience in facilities management, landscape operations, or related field
  • Ability to organize and communicate effectively
  • Experience working in unionized environment preferred
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance and building codes preferred
  • Active involvement in professional associations preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop annual budget and spending plan for Grounds Services department
  • Provide strategic leadership in capital planning and landscape operations
  • Manage workforce including planning, training, scheduling, and quality control
  • Enforce safe work practices and compliance with regulations
  • Oversee snow and ice removal operations and campus safety in winter
  • Coordinate Grounds projects with Design & Construction and Campus Planning
  • Serve as liaison for Facilities & Campus Services in supporting major campus events
