Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Six years progressively responsible management experience including three years in relevant field
- Willingness to work outside normal hours during emergencies
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Six years progressively responsible management experience
- Experience in facilities management, landscape operations, or related field
- Ability to organize and communicate effectively
- Experience working in unionized environment preferred
- Knowledge of ADA compliance and building codes preferred
- Active involvement in professional associations preferred
Job Duties
- Develop annual budget and spending plan for Grounds Services department
- Provide strategic leadership in capital planning and landscape operations
- Manage workforce including planning, training, scheduling, and quality control
- Enforce safe work practices and compliance with regulations
- Oversee snow and ice removal operations and campus safety in winter
- Coordinate Grounds projects with Design & Construction and Campus Planning
- Serve as liaison for Facilities & Campus Services in supporting major campus events
