Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in the premium live entertainment industry, specializing in venue development and comprehensive services including venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG has quickly risen to prominence with its expertise spanning continents, serving a portfolio of seven prestigious venues alongside a roster of iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions worldwide. The company’s impressive footprint across four continents reflects its commitment to delivering world-class entertainment infrastructure and unparalleled guest experiences. As a forward-thinking, innovation-driven company, OVG prides itself on its integrative approach to live entertainment, combining operational excellence with hospitality and client engagement that drives both satisfaction and financial performance.
The Director of Food & Beverage position at OVG is an exceptional leadership opportunity located at the Hippodrome Theatre. This role is pivotal in providing strategic direction and operational oversight for all food and beverage operations within this distinguished venue, including concessions, bars, premium service offerings, catering, and special event functions. Tasked with maintaining the highest standards of guest and client experience, the Director of Food & Beverage will play a crucial role in complementing the theater's artistic performances and brand reputation. Serving as both an operational expert and a client relationship ambassador, the successful candidate will drive exceptional service quality during high-volume events, ensuring seamless execution under demanding timelines.
With an annual salary range of $95,000 to $110,000, this full-time role is eligible for bonuses and offers a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, and paid time off encompassing vacation, sick days, and eleven holidays. The Director will lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of hospitality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include staff recruitment, training, performance management, and operational supervision, all aimed at delivering an unrivaled food and beverage experience.
Financial management forms a core component of the role, including budget oversight, forecasting, and cost control measures such as labor and inventory management. The Director will develop and implement innovative pricing strategies, upselling initiatives, and promotional efforts to maximize revenues and enhance product offerings. Vendor and supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and inventory control will also be key tasks to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
Equally important is the Director's role in cultivating strong stakeholder relationships by engaging with clients, sponsors, and VIP guests directly. This visible leadership will enhance partnerships and foster a positive organizational presence in various social and networking environments. Collaboration with programming teams will enable the creation of tailored food and beverage experiences that align with specific shows, private events, and VIP packages, further elevating the guest experience.
OVG values diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing that a diverse team is essential to fostering innovation and service excellence. The company is committed to providing an inclusive workplace that reflects the communities it serves. OVG is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fair hiring practices and supporting a workforce that is inclusive of various backgrounds and experiences. This role at the Hippodrome Theatre is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food and beverage leader who thrives in high-energy, dynamic environments and seeks to contribute to the future of live entertainment hospitality.
