Delaware North is currently recruiting for the position of Director of Food and Beverage at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, including multiple restaurant outlets and banquet services. The Director of Food and Beverage will lead and inspire a team of both salaried and hourly employees, focusing on delivering outstanding guest satisfaction through exceptional service standards. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong results-oriented mindset who also values empathy and team empowerment.

In this role, you will cultivate a collaborative environment that aligns front-of-house and back-of-house operations to seamlessly execute dining services that exceed guest expectations. You will be tasked with hiring, training, and developing staff while setting financial goals and ensuring budgets are met. Your leadership will ensure safety and sanitation protocols are rigorously maintained, regulatory compliance is achieved, and operational efficiencies are optimized. With responsibilities including staffing level determination, inventory and payroll controls, and financial reporting, this position demands both strategic oversight and hands-on management.

The Director of Food and Beverage at Tenaya Lodge enjoys a competitive salary range of $99,800 to $134,700 annually with additional potential earnings through performance-based bonuses or an uncapped sales incentive plan. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. This position requires a minimum of 7 years of large-scale hospitality management experience, preferably within similar multi-outlet food and beverage environments, and requires familiarity with relevant software tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite, catering software, and point-of-sale systems. A bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related fields is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is mandatory.

  • Valid driver's license required

Job Duties

  • Hire train and develop both salaried and hourly team members to deliver high standards of service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Ensure financial plans are met or exceeded
  • Establish and maintain safety and sanitation procedures including the proper repair and maintenance of food service equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the sale of alcohol payroll employment guidelines and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Determine staffing levels to maximize net returns while maintaining guest service levels
  • Prepare and submit monthly projections and reports
  • Verify that effective systems for cash inventory and payroll procedures are in place
  • Operate a company vehicle when necessary
