Job Description

The Carolina Hurricanes, a professional National Hockey League (NHL) team, and Lenovo Center, a premier sports and entertainment venue, are collaboratively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Director of Food & Beverage Operations. This position plays a crucial role in leading all guest-facing Food & Beverage activities within one of the most recognized venues that host thousands of guests during live sporting and entertainment events. The venue is well known for its commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences across various service outlets including concessions, premium spaces, bars, catering services, and culinary operations.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in food and beverage or hospitality operations
  • experience managing multi-outlet operations
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to pass a background check
  • passion for exceptional guest service

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in high-volume food and beverage or hospitality operations
  • proven ability to lead multi-outlet operations including concessions, premium hospitality, and catering
  • experience in sports, live entertainment, or large-scale venues preferred
  • strong service mindset with passion for guest satisfaction
  • demonstrated leadership in fast-paced environments
  • experience with staffing strategy and labor management
  • financial acumen in labor cost control
  • excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • deliver exceptional guest experiences across food and beverage outlets
  • lead and inspire operations managers and culinary leadership
  • oversee staffing and workforce execution aligned with event needs
  • ensure culinary and service excellence by collaborating with culinary teams
  • uphold operational standards for safety and cleanliness
  • coordinate cross-functional teamwork to improve operations
  • serve as primary escalation point during events
