The role of Director of Food and Beverage at INTRUST Bank Arena and Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center is a critical leadership position within Legends Global's operational team. This full-time role calls for dynamic management of the entire food and beverage operations within the facilities, which include concessions, bars, kitchen services, suites, and catering departments. The Director is responsible for directing daily operations including staffing, budgeting, food quality control, and client satisfaction throughout events hosted at the venues. The position involves strategic planning, sales forecasting, overseeing departmental collaboration, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Effective communication skills and the ability to manage teams across multiple locations are essential.
In this capacity, the Director will take charge of developing food and beverage sales projections and budgets tailored to facility events, ensuring revenue maximization while maintaining cost controls. They will lead the preparation and review of weekly ordering and scheduling to meet event demands efficiently and oversee food quality and sanitation standards to comply with local health laws. Managing post-event financial reconciliation and reporting will also fall under their purview. The role requires participation in senior management meetings and the ability to handle supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplinary actions in accordance with corporate policies.
This leadership position demands an individual with an extensive background in food and beverage management, preferably with experience in multi-purpose entertainment or convention facilities. Strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the capability to work extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are important. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, food service, management, business, accounting or related field preferred
- minimum of 5 years' experience in food and beverage management
- catering management experience required
- ability to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to travel as needed
- ability to pass a background and credit check
- ability to perform lifting of minimum 40 lbs
- ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover
- ability to work independently and lead teams

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, food service, management, business, accounting or related field preferred
- minimum of 5 years' experience in a food and beverage management level position including financial management skills
- catering management experience required
- experience in a multi-purpose entertainment facility preferred
- proven track record of exceeding customer service and quality standards
- knowledge of Microsoft Office
- experience with POS software used in food and beverage and Clover Sport
- experience with Workday or ABIMM preferred
- ability to speak, read and write in English
Job Duties
- Markets food and beverage services to clients and establishes food and beverage controls
- creates food and beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events
- develops event work plans including scheduling and ordering and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates
- reviews food and beverage lists submitted by each department manager to determine that sufficient items are ordered weekly
- oversees food and beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction
- maintains cost and quality control standards
- inspects food service facilities to ensure compliance with health laws and internal regulations
