The role of the Director of Food & Beverage is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and managing all facets of the Food & Beverage Department. This position requires a strategic visionary who can plan, organize, direct, and control the department's activities while ensuring an exceptional level of guest service and satisfaction. The Director is entrusted with the critical task of balancing quality and cost control through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory management to maximize profitability. Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, the Director of Food & Beverage plays an essential role in designing and refining menus and wine lists that meet the highest standards of quality while remaining competitively priced. Additionally, the Director ensures seamless communication and coordination among team members and managers, facilitating a cooperative environment across departments. Job Requirements
- College degree or hospitality certifications preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience
- Three to five years’ previous experience in multiple food & beverage department head positions
- Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems

Job Duties
- Plan, organize, direct and control the work of Team Members and managers in the food & beverage department
- Ensure exceptional level of service and attention to guests
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
- Focus on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit
- Be visible in the operation
- Recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests
- Cultivate relationships with new patrons
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price
- Communicate with team members and managers to ensure operational needs are met
- Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
