Job Description

The Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, managed by Sage Hospitality, is a premier hospitality establishment offering a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of Pittsburgh. Known for its contemporary design and exceptional service, the hotel provides guests with an unforgettable experience whether they are in town for business or leisure. With a commitment to quality and innovation, the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel is part of the globally recognized Marriott portfolio, ensuring a dedication to hospitality excellence and guest satisfaction. The hotel boasts multiple dining venues, including Braddock's Rebellion Restaurant, StreetSide bar, event spaces, and in-room dining, all designed to cater to the diverse tastes of both local residents and travelers. Sage Hospitality’s management style fosters a friendly, supportive culture geared toward continuous improvement and employee growth. This philosophy makes the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel an attractive workplace for both seasoned hospitality professionals and newcomers eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

The Food and Beverage Manager role at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel is a critical leadership position that oversees the operations of the restaurant(s), room service, and lounge(s). This role demands a combination of culinary passion, strategic planning, and strong people management skills. As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for orchestrating a wide range of functions aimed at achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction, delivering quality service, and ensuring compliance with corporate franchise policies and government regulations. The position involves short-term planning and comprehensive management of all food and beverage outlets, recommending innovative promotional ideas and procedural improvements, and preparing forecasts and budgets to maintain financial health and meet revenue targets.

In addition to operational responsibilities, this role includes managing human resources for the division — recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and resolving employee conflicts. As a leader, you will champion the development and implementation of marketing strategies, menu development, and promotional activities to capture a larger market share and elevate guest experiences. Ensuring the highest sanitation and maintenance standards for food and beverage areas and equipment ensures both regulatory compliance and asset protection. The manager will also handle customer complaints professionally to maintain high levels of satisfaction.

This is an exciting time to join the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel as it undergoes a significant refresh, presenting an excellent opportunity to be part of a transformative journey. The position offers a competitive salary and full-time employment with a comprehensive perks package including health benefits, 401(k) with employer match, bonus plans, and employee discounts. This pivotal role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, value teamwork, and seek to grow their career with a respected hospitality brand.
