The Oncenter seeks a Director of Food & Beverage to provide strategic leadership and hands-on operational management across all food and beverage functions. As a vital part of the Food & Beverage department, this full-time exempt position reports directly to the General Manager and the Regional Director of Food & Beverage. The role's primary responsibility is to oversee all food and beverage operations at The Oncenter, including concessions, catering, and special events. This leader is charged with driving revenue growth, managing costs effectively, and ensuring all operations meet compliance regulations and deliver exceptional guest and client experiences. The Director will lead menu development, financial performance analysis, staffing, and partnership efforts, ensuring the department aligns with organizational goals and operational strategies. This role requires collaboration with Human Resources for talent acquisition, employee relations, and development initiatives while nurturing positive labor relations in a union environment. The Director will also work closely with finance and other departments to optimize operational outcomes and support business development through identifying new clients and revenue opportunities. With a salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. The role demands a strong physical capacity to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility extensively and perform physical tasks as necessary. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management business administration food and beverage management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage operations within a large venue arena convention center or hospitality environment
  • Strong experience in budgeting forecasting labor management and operational planning
  • Experience with vendor management purchasing and contract negotiations preferred
  • Experience working in union environment is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand walk and move throughout the facility for more than 50% of workday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending stooping and pushing/pulling

  • Strong experience in budgeting forecasting labor management and operational planning

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate develop and manage teams

Job Duties

  • Lead and oversee all food and beverage operations including concessions catering and special events
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets forecasts and financial performance including revenue and expense tracking
  • Analyze key performance metrics such as food sales attendance and labor costs to drive operational efficiency and cost control
  • Plan and execute event operations including scheduling staffing ordering and post-event evaluations
  • Establish and maintain operational standards to ensure consistency quality and exceptional guest service
  • Ensure compliance with all local state and federal health safety and liquor regulations
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to maintain regulatory compliance and operational readiness
