Operating more than 200 locations across 38 states and three countries, SHG’s diverse portfolio spans a wide range of reputable brands including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, as well as numerous unique, independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. SHG takes immense pride in its service culture, which serves as the foundation for its continued success. The organization is committed to exuding hospitality, demonstrating respect and authenticity, prioritizing the needs of both internal and external stakeholders, and consistently striving to make a positive impact in everything it undertakes. With a passionate and growth-focused team of hoteliers and restaurateurs, SHG is rapidly expanding and looking for like-minded individuals to join their collaborative environment.

The opportunity at hand is for a Director of Food & Beverage, a pivotal leadership role within SHG dedicated to driving the performance and quality of food and beverage operations across the company’s managed properties. This position plays a critical role in enhancing profitability by ensuring budgeted revenues and expenses are met while maintaining top-tier guest satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional products and services. The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for overseeing day-to-day department activities, managing budgets with a focus on cost controls including inventory, sales, and payroll, and ensuring compliance with brand standards and directives.

In this role, the Director will provide leadership to staff, including direct supervision of the Executive Chef to guarantee excellence in food quality and presentation and oversee banquet and catering operations property-wide. The position also requires partnering closely with the sales team to align food and beverage minimums and selling guidelines with broader sales and marketing strategies. Additionally, the Director develops strategic plans for liquor and wine selection and pricing, supervises procurement, handles capital planning for physical asset maintenance, and strictly adheres to all health and safety regulations.

SHG offers a work environment that is inclusive, employee-focused, and devoted to personal and professional development. Employees are encouraged to feel engaged, empowered, and motivated to grow alongside the company. Benefits include daily pay options, free telemedicine, virtual mental health care access, multiple health and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, an employee assistance program, and access to exclusive savings on event tickets, electronics, gym memberships, and more.
